Photo privacy

We treat your child’s photo with the same care we’d want for our own family. Here’s exactly what happens when you upload one.

Only used to illustrate

The photo is used solely as a visual reference to illustrate your story. Nothing else.

Never sold, never shared

We never sell, rent, or share uploaded photos with advertisers or third parties.

Encrypted at rest & in transit

Storage is protected with TLS in transit and AES-256 at rest on Supabase infrastructure.

Private by default

Uploads are stored in a private bucket. Only you (and your authenticated session) can access them.

No facial recognition database

We do not build biometric profiles or match faces across accounts.

Not used to train models

Your uploaded photos are never used to train or fine-tune our AI models.

The lifecycle of an upload

  1. You upload a photo from the Create page over a secure HTTPS connection.
  2. It is stored in a private Supabase bucket tied to your user ID.
  3. Our illustration pipeline reads it once to generate the story art.
  4. The original photo remains private; only the generated illustrations are shown in your library.
  5. You can delete the photo (and the entire story) from your dashboard at any time.
